Buck Henry (1930-2020), the talented actor, screenwriter and director, would have celebrated his 95th birthday today. IN 1975, Duffy met Buck on the set of ’The Man Who Fell to Earth’ starring David Bowie. Buck played the role of an attorney, and Duffy took this portrait for the Sunday Times. His great sense of humour is evident in the t-shirt he’s wearing. His screenwriting credits include The Graduate and Catch-22 22 and he hosted Saturday Night Live. Today marks the 46th anniversary of the release of David Bowie's Lodger album. This vintage Polaroid of the album is signed by Duffy. Duffy was perched up in the studio rafters to take the shot, and Bowie was below, propped up on a plinth to hold his body. The makeup artist, Anthony Clavet, attached wires to his face, which Coco gently pulled to create a contorted look and make it appear like he was falling.
